Good day,
thanks a lot - please find attached the documentation. I would be thankful if you could help in terms of the error messages that include "missing values".

Power Analysis: Rules of Thumb
I found it very interesting and helpful as I read about rules-of-thumb to determine the appropriate sample size for conducting a multilevel analysis on MLWin. The link I refer to: http://www.bristol.ac.uk/cmm/learning/multilevel-models/samples.html
These hints, however, only relate to level 2 units ...

MLPowSim macro “analyse.txt” not working in MLWin
Good Day,
Currently I'm in the process of conducting a power analysis in MLWin based on the “tutorial”-dataset according to the MLPowSim-manual involving two levels. I tried it out several times to run the macros. However, I have met several challenges so far. In particular, in the macro “analyse ...

MLPowSim - How to indicate a categorical predictor?
Good day,
currently, I am trying to calculate the powersize via MLPowSim. In terms of the Model setup, users should indicate a type for the predictor x1 involving the options binary (=1), continuous (=2) and all MVN (=3). Let me please ask two questions:
I would like to know, which option (out ...

Solved! I am really grateful that you answered very quickly. That was enormous help.
The reason for the problem involved that I used dta-files so far.

Pratical help - open worksheet
Good day,
for several weeks I have a practical problem: Everytime I open a specific worksheet in MLwiN, a great number of additional missing values are created. As a result I am forced to delete all values first, then I can start working with my data. I really would appreciate help. Is there any ...

Re: Level Identifiers
Good day Chris,
thanks for your response.
Yes, I can confirm that I added the denominator into the red nj. I used a cons (=1) vector.
Regarding the level identifiers: When I specified case-id (1,2,3, etc.) and measurement occasion (e.g. 1,1,1) I get the error message in the attachment.
