Starting values

Hi,

I'm fitting a mixed response bivariate model in Realcom-Impute but finding that the chains for the level 2 variance parameters are taking thousands of iterations to burn in - is there any way of setting the starting values in Realcom?

Thanks

How do I stop MLwiN setting residuals to missing?

Hi,

I just wondered if there was a way of stopping MLwiN from setting residuals which are too close to zero to be missing values? I know this can be done through the command interface using MISR 0 if using MLwiN directly but is there runmlwin code which will do this as well?

Thanks

How do you constrain covariances to zero?

Hi, I've got a multivariate response model with two levels (measurement occasion within individuals) and I'm trying to set some of the covariances of the individual level random effects to be zero. I've tried this with the elements() option at level 2 and have either got the error: "Run-time er...

Error message: too many macros

Hi, I'm trying to run a model with lots of dummy variables for categorical covariates and their interactions but I think runmlwin is having trouble with the number of variables as it doesn't run and gives me the error: "too many macros" Is there any way of getting around this or is there a...

Covariance matrix for random effects

Hi, I have a model for repeated measurements with 2 levels, measurement occasions within individuals with a random intercept and several random slope parameters. I’ve noticed that the covariance matrix in MLwiN for the individual-level random effects in the Equations window and the correlations betw...
