variance in multilevel multinomial models

Post by Jillianeh »

Hello!

I am trying to calculate my Intraclass correlation coefficient from a three level multinomial model.

The variance of the constant has three parts (1[a],
2, 3[c])

I am assuming 1 is the 3rd level variance, 2 is the 2nd level variance, and 3 is the covariance? And the level 1 variance would be 3.29 as per the logistic model?

Then the 3rd level ICC would be= 1/(1+2+3.29)
2nd level ICC would be= 2/(1+2+3.29)

Thanks in advance for the clarification
Jillian
