error message

Post by shanekav »

Hi,
I have recently done some work trying to resize my virtual disc (I am running virtualbox on a mac). I have gone back to open some worksheets and have encountered an error message 'Error -1 decompressing file(ZRET)'. I have tried importing some saved backup versions of these worksheets and have encountered the same problem. Can you offer me any advice on this please?

thanks
Shane

When it opens a compressed wsz worksheet MLwiN will first uncompress the contents to your temporary directory, which is the stage at which this message is generated. You might get the error that you are seeing if there isn't enough space on the disk containing this folder, or if a suitable temporary file name cannot be allocated. I would suggest first cleaning your temporary directory and checking that you have sufficient free disk space. If you are still unable to open the files then they may have become corrupted, although this seems unlikely if your backup versions also have the same issue. You could try saving and opening some of the sample worksheets supplied with MLwiN to see if you get the same problem there.
