unable to invert xtx

Post by ali482002 »

Hi Dear all

I'm trying to run a two level model in runmlwin, but I get the following message error:

"error while obeying batch file
c:\user|...|temp\ST_02000008.temp at line number 2087: WEST
unable to invert xtx"

What does it mean? and What should i do? Please help
Regards

Could you post the syntax for the model that is causing this error? One possible reason for this message would be if the variables in your model were collinear.

Hi Ali,

An example of when this occurs is when using Stata's i. factor notation with runmlwin models fitted by MCMC

Best wishes
