Missing data value

Post by shakespeare »

Realcom used -9.999e29 as the preferred missing value when performing multiple imputation. Other values were permitted, but I found this to be more reliable. Is this still the preference in Stat-JR, or are other values permitted? What about a period?

Stat-JR uses the Stata dta format, so if you define values as missing when creating the files they should get passed through. If you import data from a text file using a template then it may ask what missing value you want to translate from.
