Struggling to use MLwIN on macOS

Post by eelsden3 »

To whomever it may concern:

I downloaded the macOS specific download and copied the dng files over into my applications. I then set my global path as this line in stata:
global MLwiN_path "/Applications/mln/mlnscript"

However, when I then try to run the runmlwin command, I get the pop-up message "Apple could not verify “libmln.dylib” is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy."

I am unsure how to fix this - any advice I'd be very grateful for!

OS system is 15.3.2

Many thanks!

I believe that you should be able to manually allow the application to run by following the steps in this article: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/m ... b3a043/mac. For a more detailed description of the cause of this warning see https://support.apple.com/en-gb/102445.
