ALOGit Function [solved]

Hi,
I am just wondering what the difference between the ALOG-function in MLWin and the one from other programms is.
For example in http://www.cmm.bristol.ac.uk/MLwiN/download/MCMC-09.pdf
is calculated on page 133 ALOG of -0,437 as 0.39246
If I do this with MLWin I get the same result. (I assumed that ALOG is now called ALOGit)
But if I try to use Excel or Wolfram Alpha I get different results:
http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=alog%28-0.437%29
So I would be really happy if someone could explain to me what the ALOGit-function does and maybe how I could reproduce it with Excel.
Thank you very much.
Frank J.
